Tarot Myths

There is no RIGHT way to read and interpret the Tarot. Each deck is illustrated differently, and each deck tells its own story. Despite this, there are "archetypes", that is, images and meanings which are typical and universal, such as life, love, work and pain. However, the images speak a different language to all who view them, and so, a skilled Tarot reader will offer their understanding of the meanings, and subtle imagery, but it is up to you to understand how it applies to your life. Only you can know that a card of love, combined with a card of difficulty, could be referring to a specific person in your life. Tarot readers can only tell you what they feel. The power is within you, and meditation (Tarot cards are a form of meditation) will help to bring it out into the open. Of course, we are all connected, just as a person may feel that you're upset, despite you trying to appear happy. This, in our opinion, is what makes the cards so accurate -- the idea that we are all "connected" in a way that goes beyond the mundane.

Remember, depending on your question, and how you feel at the time, the card could represent you, a friend, or the current "mood" of the situation. It is up to you to decide how the card makes you feel, and which area of your life it refers to. Usually, after seeing the picture and reading the text, you get a strong, intuitive feeling which points you in the right direction. Trust your intuition. The cards are a tool to help you consider your current feelings, life, desires, and relationships. They are a window into your subconscious mind, just like dreams. The cards do not show the future. Instead, they show the possible outcomes of your actions and choices. The future is liquid and ALWAYS changing. The cards show you different possibilities in your life, different paths you can explore and travel, and allow you to explore your feelings, needs, and things of a practical nature.

Unfortunately, people seem to have lost the ability to meditate about their future, their past, their hopes and dreams, and so forth. The cards help us regain that skill. While we believe that mysticism plays a strong part in the accuracy of the cards, we also believe that common sense, and emotional exploration, play an even greater part. You have all the answers you need. The cards only help you focus, and talk with your subconscious mind. It is, after all, the bad habits collected by the subconscious mind that stop us from becoming who we KNOW we are, and who we want to be.

For example, why do we always avoid doing the things we KNOW that are GOOD for us, such as eating healthy foods? Because in our subconscious mind, we attribute "healthy food" with bad experiences, pain (such as dieting), and boring flavours. Our subconscious mind remembers the pain, and automatically tries to stop us from experiencing that pain again. However, hamburgers, and other unhealthy foods, offer us instant gratification, even though they're bad for us. Our subconscious remembers this too! You can use the Tarot Cards to re-educate your subconscious mind. This is the goal of our Tarot Oracle.

Unlike others, we do not place the word "Psychic" all over our site to convince you that we have all the answers because we are in touch with "the spirits". Only YOU can change your life, only YOU can create the life you want to live. So, if you like, use the cards to learn and meditate.
